Unforgettable Picture Frame

Pin It I just wanted to share a quick project with you that I did for my niece. She is the little girl in this photo. She is setting on her daddy's knee and her big brother is leaning up on the other one. I ran across this photo and knew she had never seen it and would love to have it. She lost her Father to cancer quite a few years ago, and then not long ago she lost her brother in an auto accident. Which makes photos like this one very special, so I decided to frame it for her.
A while back Walmart had a bin full of pictures frames at a bargain price. I really didn't care for the look of them. But that doesn't scare me a way from a good deal because I always have paint at home. So I picked up a few. I grabbed one of the 8 X 10 frames, some black enamel paint, a sponge brush and a silver paint pen.
I first painted the frame black, waited for it to dry and then trimmed the edge in silver with the paint pen. Very easy and fast project, making the frame look like it had a lot more quality.
My niece as said many times that she would never forget her brother and her father so I decided the write unforgettable on the bottom of the frame.

I printed the picture in a 4 x 6 size, cut out a piece of white scrape book paper just a little larger then the picture to frame it. Then glued that on a printed back ground paper that I liked. The picture had a blemish on it that really stuck out so I decided to get out some small 3 dimensional stickers and place one over the blemish. That took care of that so I added a few more to balance it out.
It took me a little over an hour to drive to her home to give her this but it was worth it. She loved it and after the crying was over we had a great time together reminiscing. Even though she is my niece we are the same age. So we have spent a lot of our life together. Her brother will never be forgotten and very much missed.
