All natural Lip Balm

Pin It Ok so there is a story behind this.... Are you ready? :)
A couple of years ago Dr Oz was going on about not using Chap stick. There are 2 main negatives about using chap stick.
1. Petroleum- (yes the stuff that makes gas) is in almost all of them, and you are putting it on your lips and in your mouth, which leads to your blood stream.
2. Alcohol- the amount of alcohol in chap stick actually dries out your lips and causes you to use it more.
Yes, I have been aware of this for a while and still used it, until last winter I had my lip crack open and start to bleed. First thing I did was pull out my chap stick and put it on. I will admit it I am slightly addicted to chap stick, I have one in my car, my purse, my pocket, my office, night stand, bathroom and backpack. Ok let me correct that I USE to have one in all those places. At that moment it hit me, "OH how GROSS I just put petroleum straight into my blood stream". I immediately threw that tube away, and decided to never use it again! Not that easy... I know so that lead to this....

Homemade ALL Natural Lip Balm that works better than anything I have ever used!

Ingredients
1/2 oz. chopped beeswax
1 oz. coconut oil
1 1/2 tsp. lanolin
1/2 tsp. avocado oil
3/4 tsp. vitamin E oil
2 tsp. hard honey
3/4 tsp. of your favorite essential oil (flavoring)

In a small pot mix in all the ingredients except for the hard honey and essential oil. Place over medium low heat and continuously stir while it melts.

Once it has melted add the hard honey and essential oil. Stirring the whole time, even while pouring.

PACKAGING

HERE is where I ordered the chap stick tubs and the pouring tray. The small clear containers are actually bead containers I purchased at walmart.

While still stirring you can gently pour to fill the containers. One batch fills 10 tubs and one larger container as you see below.

Let sit without moving for 3-4 hours and you are ready to feel the magic! :)

On a side note I want you to notice I used all my kitchen items. No need to use anything special making this since it is all natural food items.

I have to say my lips feel firmer and tighter since I started using it. My whole family is addicted to it and we all swear by it. I hope you give it a try!
