I would like for everyone to meet Mr. Jack Frostbite. He is the newest "seasonal" addition to our family :) and we already <3 him!
He started out as a cheap "freecycled" 6 foot white Christmas tree.
I added 400 white lights, 200 blinking, 200 not. (white wired also)
And one bag of twinkle fluff.
I was originally just going to fill in some of the big holes with it, but I loved it so much I covered all the holes :) (I used the whole bag) one little piece at a time.
I thought it was totally beautiful at this point and could have just added a angel and left it.
But nope time to add the accessories, or necessities depending if you are me or Jack! lol
Head
- The largest Styrofoam ball I could by at hobby lobby
- White tissue Paper
- Mod Podge
- Foam brush & a bowl with some water
I tore up the tissue paper into squares and did a glue mixture of 1/2 water 1/2 mod podge
Then applied it just like I was doing paper mache.
I covered the whole ball twice and let dry over night.
To finish the head all I used was acrylic paints and gave him eyes, carrot nose and a smile made from coal. :)
His hat I purchased at Michael's and added some holly and red ribbon.
- All that was left was 3 black buttons made from bulbs
- a scarf
- 2- arms made of a red glitter floral item
- and I added 7 silver snowflakes.
The pile of snow under him was easy, one bag of poly fill and a cheap white cotton tree skirt.
I hope you enjoyed meeting My Jack Frostbite as much as we are enjoying his presents. :)
